The one great advantage that those of us who are Christians have is that we are able to go to our Bibles and listen to God's Word by which we measure the conflicting words of men.

Only in God's Word do we find the Word that clarifies, judges, reconciles, transforms and gives perspective to life.  Often it is God's Word that convinces us that it is needful for us to ascertain that we are seeing and hearing things from God's viewpoint and not simply finding that which reinforces our own prejudices!

Perhaps this is why of all the disturbing things we read, God's Word is still the most disturbing of all because it calls us, "not to satisfy the standards of men, but those of God."  May God's Word continue to disturb all of our complacencies and comprises.
